Description
This course will provide an in-depth review of select topics from the A.S.P.E.N. Enteral Nutrition Practice Recommendations. It will feature discussions about water safety, including the types of water and their indications for use; hydration; water flushes; medication dilution; and challenges in administering medications.
The teleseminar will also address the administration of enteral feeding to the pediatric patient, with specific coverage on the use of human breast milk, reconstituted enteral formulas and bedside administration techniques. Faculty will also discuss new research on hang time for decanted formula and contamination of low profile gastrostomy tube devices.
