Description

A one-hour informational webinar on appropriate prescribing of PN components now that shortages are resolving. This program will briefly review the history of PN component shortages, current shortages and their impact. It will also review A.S.P.E.N. management strategies and how to prescribe appropriately when supply is adequate. These recommendations will highlight key macro- and micronutrients including new and imported products.

Pediatric considerations for dosing will be presented as well.

  2. Describe the A.S.P.E.N. management recommendations for PN component shortages.
  3. State appropriate dosing mechanisms for macro- and micronutrients.
