Description

Objectives:

  1. Discuss the role of specific pharmaconutrients (ie. Selenium) and nutritional interventions such as protein delivery in outcome from critical care and surgery
  2. Discuss future role of probiotics and the microbiome in diagnosis and therapy in the ICU and other clinical settings
  3. Discuss what has been learned from the REDOX trial on glutamine and antioxidants regarding future clinical use of these nutrients in practice
