Dr. Jeanette Hasse has worked in the critical care nutrition field for almost 40 years and has worked full-time with transplant patients since 1986. She has been involved in related research and development of nutrition care protocols and currently manages a team of 16 transplant dietitians. Jeanette has given many professional presentations and has several publications on nutrition and transplantation. Dr. Hasse was the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Nutrition in Clinical Practice for 20 years and is co-editor of the book Comprehensive Guide to Transplant Nutrition. She has received several professional awards including the Dietitians in Nutrition Support Distinguished Practice Award, ASPEN Distinguished Nutrition Support Dietitian Award, and American Dietetic Association Foundation Award for Excellence in Clinical Nutrition. In 2020, Dr. Hasse was the inaugural recipient of the Jeanette Hasse Transplant Dietitian Award named in her honor by NATCO. Jeanette received her B.S. degree in Nutrition at the University of Nebraska and received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Nutrition at Texas Woman's University.
