Beth Lyman, MSN, RN, CNSC, FASPEN, FAAN has over 40 years of experience in nutrition support nursing. She retired as Co-Director of the Nutrition Support Team at Children's Mercy Kansas City in May of 2019. In her 28 years there, she taught families how to care for a variety of central lines and participated in practice changes designed to lower the CLABSI rate at her hospital. She is an active member of ASPEN and is the former chair of the NOVEL project for the organization. Ms. Lyman has been a member of the ASPEN board of directors and has also served as chair of the nursing practice section. Her research focus is on safe enteral formula delivery. Ms. Lyman is now a nutrition support nurse consultant. She is volunteering with the Patient Safety Movement Foundation, the Oley Foundation and GEDSA to promote the transition to ENFit connectors.
