Malissa Warren RD, LD, CNSC

Malissa Warren is an Advanced Practice Nutrition Support Dietitian at the VA Portland Health Care System and in the Department of Surgery at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She has nearly 24 years of nutrition support experience working with critically ill patients requiring specialized nutrition support therapy. She is an active member on local and National VA committees. In addition to her inpatient experience at the VA, she works with outpatients who suffer from complex GI issues. At OHSU, she works in a multidisciplinary outpatient surgical clinic with Dr. Robert Martindale managing complex patients with short bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal fistulas, intestinal bowel disease, and perioperative complications who require parenteral and enteral nutrition support. Professionally, Malissa is active in the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and Dietitians in Nutrition Support for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She finds the personal interaction with her patients and medical teams as well as having the opportunity to be a nutrition educator for other providers, colleagues, fellows, and students the most enjoyable part of her work.
