Stephanie Ditmer Dobak MS, RD, LDN, CNSC

Stephanie Dobak, MS, RD, LDN, CNSC is a clinical dietitian at the Jefferson Weinberg ALS Center in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, she provides nutrition care to people with ALS and manages their enteral nutrition regimens. Stephanie is the ALS Center's interdisciplinary team coordinator for the placement and management of gastrostomy tubes. Prior to her role at the ALS Center, she worked closely with the inpatient interdisciplinary team to optimize enteral nutrition delivery within the neuro-ICU. Stephanie’s research has focused on standardizing nutrition care, discerning the ideal time for gastrostomy tube placement in people with ALS, implementing interventions to increase quality of life in ALS, and optimizing advance care planning discussions. She is the co-founder of www.ALSnutrition.org, the only website dedicated exclusively to dietitians treating people with ALS. Stephanie is also the Co-chair for the nutrition subcommittee of the Northeast ALS Consortium and Executive Coordinator for the Dietitians in Nutrition Support dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
