I am Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. I am Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. I am the Director of Nutrition Support at Children’s Mercy and the Associate Director for Education and Staff Development. I serve as the Secretary Treasurer of the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists (NBPNS). I chair the ASPEN Pediatric Section and the ASPEN Malnutrition Committee. I serve on the Clinical Advisory Board of the Global Enteral Device Supplier Association (GEDSA). My clinical practice focusses on nutrition rehabilitation of children with various nutritional disorders in various gastrointestinal conditions, undernutrition, with special interest in parenteral and enteral nutrition support, nutritional rehabilitation in short gut and intestinal failure and malabsorption.
