Vijay Srinivasan MBBS, MD, FAAP, FCCM is a pediatric intensivist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Srinivasan serves as Advisory Dean to medical students at the Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Srinivasan is actively involved in research and quality improvement programs in critical illness endocrinopathies and nutrition to improve outcomes in critically ill children. He co-founded and co-leads the pediatric ICU Nutrition Team at CHOP in partnership with nurse practitioner scientists, nurses and dietitians to enhance nutrition support for critically ill children. His research focuses on stress hyperglycemia and nutrition support in pediatric critical illness with his published works being widely cited and recognized with awards from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM). Dr. Srinivasan serves on the SCCM Pediatric Section Steering Committee and is Chair-Elect, Executive Committee of the AAP Section on Critical Care (SOCC). He serves on the Editorial Board for Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
