Stephen M. Borowitz MD

Dr. Borowitz went to medical school at Rush University of Chicago after which he completed a residency in pediatrics followed by a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Since 1988, he has been a member of the division of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Virginia where he is currently professor of pediatrics and public health sciences and associate chair for education in the department of pediatrics. Dr. Borowitz has had a long-standing interest in the management of feeding and nutritional problems as well as chronic constipation in children and young adults with developmental disabilities.
