Julia Carvalho Ventura RD, PhD

Julia Carvalho Ventura is a dietitian with a PhD in Nutrition. Her researches are focused on pediatric patients, evaluating the association and impact of nutritional status, nutritional therapy and inflammatory markers on outcomes, especially in children with cystic fibrosis and critically ill children. During her doctoral research, she was awarded the Doctoral Dissertation Research Award (DDRA) by the Fulbright Commission as an intensive care researcher at Boston Children's Hospital during 2018/2019. She is the Field Research Coordinator of the PICU-ScREEN study (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Score of Risk for Early prediction of Nutritional deterioration).
