I am interested in studying biological rhythms at the genome-scale and applying this information to health. I did my PhD on the circadian clock in Drosophila neurons with Justin Blau at New York University. I then worked in industry drug development for 4 years before returning to academia to pursue “circadian medicine” with John Hogenesch at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. About a year ago we published the first human atlas of circadian gene expression, revealing many insights into how time of day may influence therapeutic efficacy and/or safety. I am using mouse models and human health data in an effort to translate these findings to medicine.
