Barbara Fleming APN/CNS RNC-NIC

Barbara Fleming is a Master's prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with over 38 years of experience in a level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist, her work focuses on improving outcomes in patient care. Barb serves as a clinical practice expert, an educator, a researcher, a leader, and a consultant who influences the three spheres of practice: patient care, nursing, and systems. Her clinical passion is to improve systems to support patients and families, clinicians, and healthcare institutions to improve patient safety. Barb continuously strives to change systems to make it easy for clinicians to do what is right and helping nurses to work smarter not harder.
