Dr. Robert Venick is a Professor of Pediatrics and Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He graduated with honors with a major in Public Policy from Duke University prior to attending medical school at University of Southern California. Dr. Venick completed his pediatric residency as well as his fellowship in Pediatric GI/Nutrition and Hepatology at UCLA. He is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology and transplant hepatology, has been on faculty at UCLA for over fifteen years and serves as Director of Pediatric Liver and Intestinal Transplantation Services at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA. Dr. Venick has received funding from the National Institute of Health for his research in intestinal failure associated liver disease, and medication adherence. He has been a site PI for trials involving GLP-2 analogues, and he is the Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant Association. He has authored over 85 peer reviewed publications, and several book chapters.
