James Won is the Director of Human Factors and Systems Design for the Center for Healthcare Quality and Analytics (CHQA) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Perelman School of Medicine and the School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention. His previous work contributed to the development of a safe and efficient national airspace system (NAS) for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other government research efforts. His current work spans across a wide variety of initiatives within CHOP, with the goal of implementing human factors engineering in the collective journey to high reliability and effective, safe patient care.
