Phil Ayers, BS, PharmD, BCNSP, FMSHP, FASHP. Dr. Ayers received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Ayers is currently employed by Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He is a clinical specialist in nutrition support and serves the Department of Pharmacy as Chief of Clinical Pharmacy Services. Phil is a Clinical Associate Professor with the School of Pharmacy, University of Mississippi. Phil is currently serving the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) on the Board of Directors as Secretary-Treasurer and Past Chair of the Parenteral Nutrition Safety Committee. Dr. Ayers is a member of the USP Compounding Committee and Chair of the Parenteral Nutrition Subcommittee. He served the last 5 years on the USP Healthcare Quality and Safety Committee and Chair of the Parenteral Nutrition Expert Panel. Dr. Ayers was awarded the ASPEN Excellence in Nutrition Support Education Award, 2011 and the ASPEN. Stanley Serlick Award for Parenteral Nutrition Safety in 2016. Phil was named a Fellow by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in 2012. and by the Mississippi SOciety of Health-System Pharmacists in 2019.
