Kathleen Gura is the manager for the Pharmacy Research Program and a member of the Clinical Nutrition Service in the Division of GI/Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation (CAIR) and the Home PN Programs at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Gura received her BS and Pharm.D from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. Certified as a Nutritional Support Pharmacist, Dr. Gura is a Fellow of the
ASHP, ASPEN, PPA and MSHP. She was named the 2020 ASPEN Nutrition Champion. Dr. Gura is the author of numerous book chapters on pediatric nutrition and has written more than 150 peer reviewed on topics such as the intestinal failure associated liver disease, clinical practice guidelines for parenteral nutrition, and the use of parenteral nutrition in the neonate. She recently served as an associate editor for JPEN and is currently a member of the board of directors for ASPEN. Dr. Gura is also a member of the FDA’s Pharmacy Advisory Committee and was appointed to the Nutrition Committee for the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition(NASPGHAN).
