Kathleen Gura PharmD, is the manager for Pharmacy Research and a member of the Clinical Nutrition Service in the Division of GI/Nutrition and the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation at Boston Children's Hospital. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an adjunct member of the faculty at MCPHS University and Northeastern University. Certified as a Nutritional Support Pharmacist, she was named the 2020 Nutrition Champion by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and was the winner of the 2021 Oley Foundation’s Research Award. Dr. Gura has written more than 200 peer reviewed papers and book chapters on topics such as the intestinal failure associated liver disease and compounding of parenteral nutrition. She has also lectured nationally and internationally on these topics and from 2010-2018 worked with the Abbott Fund and BU School of Medicine to assist in establishing clinical nutrition services with Ha Noi Medical University and Bach Mai Hospital in Viet Nam. She currently serves as the vice-president for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and is a former associate editor for JPEN. She is also a member of the FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee.
