Amir Kamel, PharmD, BCNSP, is a clinical specialist in nutrition support and critical care at the UF Health Shands Hospital and is a clinical assistant professor at the University Of Florida College of Pharmacy. Dr. Kamel received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Arnold and Marie College of Pharmacy Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his pharmacy practice residency at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY and a specialty residency in nutrition support and critical care at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He is an active member of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the society of critical care medicine. His areas of research interest include nutrition in critical illness, micronutrient deficiencies, and urea cycle disorders.
