Andrew Adorno is an Advanced Practice Registered Dietitian and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician at Ben Taub General Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center in Houston, TX. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nutrition from Delgado Community College, then worked as a Dietetic Technician, Registered while completing his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at Nicholls State University. He later completed his Dietetic Internship at Tulane University and a Master of Science in Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University. Currently, he is completing his PhD at Texas Woman’s University, researching macronutrient dosing in parenteral nutrition to minimize risks and improve patient outcomes. Andrew serves as the 2025 President of the Houston ASPEN chapter and sits on the exam writing panel for the Advanced Practice dietitian certification. With a career focused on critical care nutrition, he has extensive experience in surgical ICU, neuro ICU, gastroenterology, and parenteral nutrition.
