Dr. Anita Nucci received a BS in Nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University and an MPH and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Registered Dietitian and completed a dietetic internship at the MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH. She served as a pediatric clinical dietitian at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh from 1987 to 1996. In 1997, Dr. Nucci became the Manager of the Department of Clinical Nutrition, the Nutrition Support Service, the Feeding/Lactation Service, and The Intestinal Care & Rehabilitation Center (ICARE) at Children’s Hospital. Dr. Nucci served as the North America Nutrition Coordinator for the Trial to Reduce IDDM in the Genetically at Risk (TRIGR) research study between 2001 – 2017. Dr. Nucci is currently Professor of Nutrition and the Associate Dean for Academics in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University.
