Beth Lyman, MSN, RN, FASPEN, FAAN has over 40 years of experience in nutrition support nursing. She retired as Co-Director of the Nutrition Support Team at Children's Mercy Kansas City in May of 2019. In her 28 years there, she taught families how to care for a variety of central lines and participated in practice changes designed to lower the CLABSI rate at her hospital. She is an active member of ASPEN and is the co-chair of the NOVEL NICU project for the organization. Ms. Lyman has been a member of the ASPEN board of directors and has also served as chair of the nursing practice section. Her research focuses on safe enteral formula delivery. Ms. Lyman is now a nutrition support nurse consultant. She is volunteering with the Oley Foundation and GEDSA to promote the transition to ENFit connectors.
