David C. Evans, MD, FACS, FCCM, FASPEN is a trauma, acute care, and critical care surgeon at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and Medical Director of the System Nutrition Support Team at OhioHealth--a 14-hospital network. He is also Adjunct Clinical Professor of Surgery at Ohio University. Prior to his current role, he led the nutrition support and trauma programs at The Ohio State University. His interests include nutrition support in surgical and ICU patients and research in surgery and trauma care. He has served as an investigator in multiple clinical trials in critically ill patients focused in the areas of nutrition and infection and is author of over 130 peer-reviewed publications.
