Gail Cresci, PhD, RD is Faculty in Departments of Gastroenterology and Inflammation & Immunity at the Cleveland Clinic, and she is Nutrition Thread Director within the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. She completed her PhD at the Medical College of Georgia, MS at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences, and a BS at the University of Akron. Her research focuses on the gut microbiome in health and disease. She has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and edited a textbook in critical care nutrition. Her numerous awards include the 2018 ASPEN Stanley Dudrick Research Scholar Award; 2014 Excellence in Practice Research Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; 2010 ASPEN Distinguished Nutrition Support Dietitian Advanced Clinical Practice Award; and the 2009 Excellence in Practice Clinical Nutrition Award from the American Dietetic Association. She served on the ASPEN Executive Committee from 2019-2023 and was ASPEN president from 2021-2022.
