Harold Leraas MD completed his undergraduate education at Pacific Lutheran University with a major in Biology and Minors in Chemistry and French Language &Literature. He then pursued a Masters degree in Medical Sciences at Loyola University before matriculating to Duke University School of Medicine. He was happy to continue his graduate medical education at Duke in General Surgery. He is a T32 scholar under Duke’s surgical oncology training program and has spent time during his research fellowship investigating topics in pediatric surgery including health equity, surgical oncology, and intestinal failure.
