Harriët Jager-Wittenaar, PhD, RD, is Professor of Malnutrition and Healthy Ageing within the Research Group Healthy Ageing, Allied Health Care and Nursing at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and Professor of Dietetics and transmural nutritional care at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. In addition, prof. dr. Jager-Wittenaar is Guest Professor and Honorary Fellow at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. With a dietitian background, her research program focuses on prevention and treatment of malnutrition and its risk factors in patients and older adults. In specific, her research program is aimed at value-based dietetic care, and to develop and evaluate interprofessional and transmural nutritional care. Prof. dr. Jager-Wittenaar is co-lead of the GLIM Implementation Working Group, that aims to stimulate and facilitate implementation of the GLIM framework worldwide. Moreover, she is member of the EFAD-ESPEN Working Group within the European Federation of Associations of Dietitians (EFAD).
