Jefferson Brownell, MD, is the gastroenterologist affiliated with the Jill and Mark Fishman Center for Lymphatic Disorders as well as the Complex Vascular Anomalies Frontier Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In addition, he is co-director of the Pancreatic Disorders Program at CHOP. He has a clinical and research interest in dietary fat malabsorption and its nutritional consequences. His ongoing research includes evaluating new methods for detecting dietary fat malabsorption and diagnosing protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). He is currently participating in multiple projects evaluating nutritional status and interventions in patients with lymphatic disorders.
