Dr. José Ignacio Díaz-Pizarro Graf • Dr. Díaz-Pizarro is a General Surgeon with a fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery and a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition; trained in Mexico and in the USA. His academic activities are accomplished as a Professor of Surgery and Clinical Nutrition at Anáhuac University in Mexico City. His clinical duty is in private practice as Chief of the Clinical Nutrition Department & Attending Surgeon at Hospital Ángeles Lomas in Mexico City. • He is Vice-president of the Mexican Association of Endoscopic Surgery (2021-2022) and former President of the Mexican Association on Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (2014-2016). • Author & co-author of more than 20 scientific articles published in international journals of surgery and clinical nutrition and 4 book chapters. Editorial reviewer for Clinical Nutrition ESPEN (Official ESPEN Journal) & the Journal for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition - JPEN (Official ASPEN Journal). As a speaker, he has been invited to lecture on Surgery and Clinical Nutrition topics in North, Central & South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. • Along with his surgical partner, they run an altruistic foundation (Fundación CURA) to fund and perform advanced surgical procedures in marginalized communities in Mexico for free.
