Joshua Veith. MD, MSCE, is a Staff Physician in the Departments of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic in January 2020, he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center and his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He has completed his Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Veith cares for patients in the outpatient setting in pulmonary clinic and the Post-ICU Recovery Clinic and in the inpatient setting in the medical intensive care unit. He has a vested interest in applying the principles and methods of implementation science to improve the utilization of evidence-based practices in the populations of patients he serves. He currently leads projects applying implementation science to improve the care delivery of mechanically ventilated patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and to improve early enteral nutrition utilization in mechanically ventilated ICU patients. He has been awarded funding by the Cleveland Clinic's Healthcare Delivery and Implementation Science Center and the ASPEN Rhoads Research Foundation.
