Julie Long is a registered dietitian nutritionist who is interested in enhancing the lives of people through improved access and resources to adequate and appropriate nutrition. She previously served as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation’s PNPG Pediatric Malnutrition Clinical Characteristics Study Fellow, and she has worked extensively in Bangladesh studying micronutrient deficiencies in young children. Julie is currently a consultant with the Academy’s Nutrition Research Network where she advises on multiple studies. She obtained her BS in Nutrition from California Polytechnic State University, SLO and completed her dietetic internship, MS in Nutrition and Wellness, and MPH at Benedictine University. In her free time Julie enjoys taking part in outdoor activities such as hiking and biking in her home state of Colorado.
