Kathleen L. Price PhD, RDN, LDN

Katie Price completed her professional nutrition training at the University of Minnesota, including the University of Minnesota - The Emily Program Dietetic Internship and her doctorate degree in Nutrition with Dr. Carrie Earthman. Her research focused on the assessment of lean mass and estimated protein requirements in clinical populations, including late-stage cancer and heart failure. She spent several years as an inpatient Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Hennepin Healthcare, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Minneapolis MN, where she covered all inpatient floors. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Tennessee Knoxville where she supports the new ACEND-accredited Future Education Model Graduate Program. In this role, she provides evidence-based client-centered medical nutrition therapy to clients in an integrated care, outpatient, Federally Qualified Health Center while precepting students onsite, supervises graduate student research, and teaches clinical nutrition courses to upperclassman and graduate students.
