Dr. Kimberly Mills is an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Staff Physician in the Division of Cardiovascular Critical Care in the Department of Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital. She is a clinician-scientist with an academic focus of improving outcomes in critically ill children with congenital heart disease by advancing the science and optimizing the practice of nutrition provision. She currently serves as the Director of the Cardiac Critical Care Nutrition Program at Boston Children's Hospital and section chair for the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS) and the Neonatal Cardiac Care Collaborative's (NeoC3) formulation of nutrition guidelines for critically ill children with congenital heart disease. Her current research interests include improving and validating novel indirect calorimetry technology, enhancing metabolic assessment tools, and understanding the association of microbiota alterations and feeding intolerance.
