Kristin Izzo has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in dietetics with a master's degree in nutrition. Her clinical background is in home nutrition support and gut rehabilitation and transplantation. She is presently the clinical nutrition manager for the home TPN and center for gut rehabilitation and transplant nutrition teams at the Cleveland Clinic. Kristin's research is generally focused on short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure patient populations. She has completed research for probiotic use in small intestinal bacterial overgrowth and effectiveness of oral supplementation of fat soluble vitamins and aims to continue to pursue research in these areas to improve the quality of care for this population.
