Lingtak-Neander Chan, PharmD, is a Professor of Pharmacy and an Interdisciplinary Faculty of the Graduate Program in Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health at the University of Washington, Seattle. He was formerly a faculty member of the Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a board-certified nutrition support pharmacist. His primary research focus is micronutrients and drug kinetics after bariatric surgery and GI surgeries. Other key areas of interest include gut peptides on metabolic regulation, intestinal failure, and critical care nutrition. Dr. Chan served as the 43rd President of ASPEN between 2019 and 2020. He was also a former Associate Editor of JPEN (between 2009-16, and 2020-22). He has published book chapters, reviewed articles, original research papers, and invited editorials, and has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific and professional conferences both nationally and internationally.
