Lisa Maria PHD, RD, CNSC

Dr. Maria has over 16 years of dedicated service with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She holds a PhD from the University of Buffalo and has a background in informatics, clinical nutrition, epidemiology as well as animal nutrition. Reflective of her diverse career experience, she has published in various journals and series including Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, Journal of Zoo and Aquarium Research, Journal of the American Dietetic Association, and Nutrition in Clinical Practice. Currently, as a Program Analyst (Informatics), she works to assist in optimizing clinical performance and supporting healthcare operations while continuing to meet Veterans’ healthcare needs. In her spare time, she is actively involved with volunteering for a Veteran-Centered Therapeutic Horseback Riding and local 4H Program.
