Lydia Maurer, MD is a general surgery resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a graduate of Yale College and Stanford University School of Medicine. Her research interests are primarily in surgical and critical care outcomes and quality, particularly around the development and use of AI-based risk calculators for surgery and trauma patients. She is also a Massachusetts General Hospital Physicians Organization Torchiana Fellow in Health Policy and Management, a role in which she focuses on system-level quality and equity issues.
