Michael Kraft PharmD, BCNSP, FASPEN

Michael Kraft is a Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and Assistant Director-Education and Professional Development in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Michigan Health. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, and then completed a Specialty Residency in Critical Care and Nutrition Support at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He returned to the University of Michigan and been there for the past 21+ years. Dr. Kraft supports all aspects of an academic medical center's mission-service, education, and research-in his roles. His oversight includes educational and professional development efforts, and oversight of the department parenteral nutrition (PN) process. He coordinates and oversees multiple educational efforts, including the pharmacy internship, pharmacy residency, and provides education to pharmacy residents, students, and other professionals. His research interests include PN and PN safety. He has authored over 40 articles and book chapters, regularly makes presentations at professional conferences, and is a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist. Dr. Kraft is an active leader in ASPEN, and has received the ASPEN Distinguished Nutrition Support Pharmacist Award, the ASPEN Excellence in Nutrition Support Education Award, and is a Fellow of ASPEN.
