Michael Medwar

Michael Medwar, of Franklin, MA, has worked in the nutrition therapy field for 12 years. He is currently a patient support specialist for Nutrishare, helping HPN patients achieve their highest quality of life and aiding caregivers as well. Starting at an early age, Michael helped his parents care for his late brother, who was developmentally disabled. Michael was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 9 and later was placed on HPN for 15 years, and again 2013. Michael has been a has been a proud member of the Oley Foundation since the 1980s. He has served on the Oley Board of Trustees and has been chosen for the DREAM Team to shape the 2026 conference. As a liaison to the TSA Disability Branch, he helped implement respectful airport screening practices and has assisted patients and caregivers to travel all over the world. In 2024 ASPEN honored him with the Lyn Howard Consumer Nutrition Support Award.
