Molly Vega is a registered dietitian and board-certified specialist in pediatric and sports dietetics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University, and a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Houston. Additionally, she is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Molly currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research focuses on the intersection of nutrition and physical activity to improve outcomes for children with acute and chronic kidney disease, specifically addressing ICU-acquired muscle weakness. She is passionate about bridging the gap between exercise science and clinical nephrology care.
