Dr. Elfadil graduated magna cum laude from Gezira Medical School in Sudan. He completed his internship and rotations in Internal Medicine in Oman at the Forces Medical Services of the Royal Army of Oman. Dr. Elfadil joined Mayo Clinic Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Program as a research fellow in 2019 working at Dr. Manpreet Mundi's lab. He has contributed to many peer-reviewed articles published in major journals in the field. Dr. Elfadil has also presented at national and international scientific meetings. In 2022, Dr. Elfadil has been a candidate for the Harry M. Vars Award by the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). He has received numerous awards for high-scoring abstracts and distinguished early-career research scholar. Dr. Elfadil has a special research interest in peptide-based formulations and equitable nutrition care. In addition to his academic appointment, Dr. Elfadil currently serves as Board Co-chair of the African Descendents Support Group at Mayo Clinic, Rochester Campus.
