Peggi Guenter PhD, RN, FASPEN, FAAN

Peggi Guenter, PhD, RN, FASPEN was up until February of 2021, the Senior Director, Clinical Practice, Quality, and Advocacy for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition for about 20 years and is currently a Special Projects Consultant for ASPEN. In that former role she oversaw the development of ASPEN Guidelines, Consensus Recommendations, Best Practices, and Standards as well as Quality and Public Policy Efforts. Dr. Guenter is a former Editor-in-Chief of Nutrition in Clinical Practice, has won the Institute of Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) Cheers award, and is a Fellow of ASPEN. In 2021 she was awarded the ASPEN Lifetime Achievement Award and an honorary membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has authored over 180 research publications, review articles, chapters, books, and commentaries on nutrition support.
