Sapna Naik, MD is an Assistant Professor in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston. She completed her medical school training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, followed by her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at UT Houston where she was subsequently invited to join faculty. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she remains active in medical education serving as co-director for the MS4 internal medicine ambulatory clerkship and co-director for the fellows’ team-based learning (TBL) lecture series. She is an active instructor in both the medical student problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum and the internal medicine residency ambulatory curriculum. Outside of UT Health she serves on the planning committee for the Texas Endocrinology Association (TXEA) and is also a reviewer for the Endocrine Society. When out of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, and painting.
