Sean M. Phelan PhD

Sean Phelan, PhD, MPH is a Consultant and Associate Professor of health services research in the division of Health Care Delivery Research and the Kern Center for the science of healthcare delivery. He has a secondary appointment in the department of family medicine. His research program focuses on stigma and its impact on health and healthcare equity, and how biases and attitudes develop and change during medical education. He holds a PhD and MPH in social epidemiology from the University of Minnesota.
