Silvia Figueiroa holds more than a decade of experience in clinical nutrition. She received her M. S. in Nutrition from Florida State University in 2008. During her years as a Clinical Nutrition Specialist and the Parenteral Nutrition team coordinator at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, she was responsible for maintenance of practice standards, education, and process improvement with PN, contributing for delivery of appropriate, safe and effective PN therapy. Currently, as a Clinical Research Dietitian at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), in addition to patient care, she devotes her work time to research, and has been an active ASPEN volunteer.
