I am a British trained Pediatric Hepatologist and Transplant Physician and am a Founding Fellow of the Royal College of Pediatric and Child Health. I have lived and worked in the US for almost 30 years, first at the University of Nebraska where I built my experience in intestine transplantation and helped establish one of the first multidisciplinary intestinal failure programs. I subsequently spent 16 years at Seattle Children's Hospital again building the transplant and intestinal failure programs before moving to Pittsburgh Children's almost 4 years ago. I have been involved in many of the professional organization that focus on intestinal failure including serving as President of the International Intestine Rehabilitation and Transplantation Association (IIRTA) from 2019 to 2021. I am a senior staff member for Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) with primary responsibility for Intestine Transplantation.
