Todd Rice MD, MSc, FASPEN

Professor of Medicine, Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN

Dr. Rice is a Past-President of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and a member of the Board of Advisors. He has both clinical and research interests in critical care nutrition and nutritional support in the ICU. He is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University and the Vice President for Clinical Trials Innovation and Operations. He currently serves as director of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Medical ICU, director of Medical ECMO, and medical director of Vanderbilt’s Human Research Protections Program (IRB). As a physician scientist, he takes care of critically ill patients as an intensivist at Vanderbilt and also conducts clinical research in the ICU, specifically in critical care nutrition. Dr. Rice is an established clinical trialist, having designed, conducted, and published numerous practice-changing multicenter clinical trials in critically ill patients.
