Zaineh Alja'nini is an attending neonatologist at the Pediatrix medical group at Mercykid's Children's Hospital, Springfield, MO. She received her medical training at the Jordan University Hospital in Amman, Jordan, and her pediatric residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. She graduated from the neonatal perinatal medicine fellowship program at Case Western Reserve University/ MetroHealth Medical Center/ Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH in 2020. Dr. Alja'nini is interested in neonatal nutrition, specifically the impact of early nutrition on premature infant's growth and clinical outcome. During her fellowship she led a quality improvement project to implement enhanced anthropometric measurement and body composition assessment into clinical practice in the NICU at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, OH. She also studied the impact of parenteral nutrition duration on body composition of very low birth weight premature infants. During her fellowship, she was awarded the neonatal fellow excellence in service award.
