  1. Describe the appropriate vitamin D intake level for pregnancy and the associated neonatal outcomes
  2. Recognize the gaps in our understanding of vitamin D status in bariatric surgery patients and identify areas for future research
  3. Articulate the potential benefit of vitamin D supplementation on infectious outcomes in critically ill patients
