ASPEN is pleased to present the best of the ASPEN 2018 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference (ASPEN18) in a four-part series. Beginning March 5, 2018, two top sessions from ASPEN18 will be rebroadcast each week. At the end of each rebroadcast, a member of the faculty panel will join to facility a question and answer period to enhance your learning of the subject matter.
Objectives:
Identify at least four complications of SBS, and describe the risk factors for the development of these complications
Describe the diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to treat nephrolithiasis, SIBO, D-lactic acidosis, and metabolic bone disease
Describe the effect of nutrition therapy on preventing and treating complications of SBS
