ASPEN is pleased to announce an on demand training series focusing on enteral nutrition therapy safety. Enteral nutrition is an important therapeutic nutrition intervention used in adults, children and infants for a variety of indications. Appropriate use of this modality includes incorporating practices that maximize patient benefit while minimizing adverse events. In response to the recently developed ASPEN Enteral Nutrition Safety Consensus Recommendations, ASPEN has developed a training series to educate all members of the healthcare team who work with EN to optimize your knowledge base of safe EN.
Goals and Target Audience
This series is targeted to all members of the healthcare team who care for patients requiring enteral nutrition or anyone seeking a comprehensive overview of enteral nutrition topics. This program is designed at the basic learning level.
Successful Completion
Each on-demand webinar in the five part series is accredited separately. To obtain credit for each on-demand webinar, participants must listen to the recording in full, pass the posttest with a score of 100% and complete an evaluation via the electronic CE system in ASPEN’s eLearning Center, which is accessible from any internet connection at www.nutritioncare.org/elearning. Participants may log in using the email address and password on file with ASPEN. Note: successfully completing the posttest is required for nurses, pharmacists and physicians, not dietitians. Dietitians may claim credit for viewing/listening to the recording per CDR guidelines.
Please note, to receive the Certificate of Training, participants must successfully complete all five enduring programs and claim CE credits for each. All CE credit must be claimed by the program expiration date of December 12, 2019.
