Karrie Derenski PharmD, BCNSP, BCCCP, CNSC, FASPEN

Dr. Karrie Derenski, now retired, was previously the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations based in Springfield at CoxHealth. As a pharmacist and leader at CoxHealth, she worked with senior leadership, providers, and other departments system-wide to foster patient-centric care. She is passionate about pharmacy services and fostering nutrition best practices in the care of the community. Karrie’s educational background includes a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Missouri, postgraduate residency training in nutrition support, as well as Board Certification in Critical Care and Nutrition Support. She is a fellow of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, and in 2020, she was awarded the Missouri Society of Health-System Pharmacists Garrison Award, highlighting her sustained contributions to health-system pharmacy. Dr Derenski’s research interests involve parenteral nutrition safety and nutrition support therapy in critically ill patients.
